an extended workshop
i am hosting and guiding an intimate creative extended workshop i curated for 4 curious artists. i have been imagining and building this never-before-done collaborative experience for years!!! together we will show up exactly as we are and experiment with the intersection of four fields - music, math, spirituality, & science... which of course includes the emergent properties that exist at every intersection of every combination of these fields of exploration. we will meet 4 times for 4 hours each session (with breaks for bread-breaking). we will collaboratively write and record music informed by the experiences we have, the discoveries & findings we make, the data we collect, and most importantly~ our pain & healing journeys. i will produce and publicly release our work. we will explore, identify, and measure frequencies in music, in nature, and in our bodies. we will mathematically calculate ideas and incorporate their theoretical musical parallels into our compositions. we will connect with our Source through prayer & meditation, trusting the Guidance Presencing Love. no previous experience in any field is required or necessary ~ only the curiosity and authentic interest in the discovery process as we welcome every part of ourselves and each other, trusting what unfolds one loving moment at a time. this opportunity is for anybody interested in a unique and never before conducted experience.

i'm a long-time member of the Society for Music Theory & Mathematics as well as the Dozenal Society of America with a mission and life-long calling around the re-organization of notes and numbers; of course thereby affecting all global matters in every field. this is a vast and intuitive pursuit that begins with my first memory around learning how to count. we counted 2 apples, 8 apples, 11 apples, and i remember the sensation of error in my toddler gut... like i was being told something was true when i knew otherwise deep down. numbers have been taught to us with a gaping absence of inter-numerical relationship and the importance of the function of Zero & its role within this relational interplay. i see many parallels in the toxic impact & messaging of individualism & capitalism in our culture & economy, absent the village mentality, that can leave a person feeling disoriented with a lack of belonging amidst the collective & a dim sense of meaning.
when i was 17 in music theory, my gut registered error while learning about the key of D# Major. i am 20+ years into this work and have a clear path forward. i share this to provide insight on my approach to life. i love digging. i love following my intuition and curiosity and experiencing the sense of WOW everytime something new reveals. this workshop is my first effort toward including other people with the purposes of sharing some of my findings as well as journeying together with the intention of new awakenings and healings as a collective, eager to learn and understand more about layers about this cosmic mystery we call Life. the more i explore, the more i realize how desperately our world desires to be Known. like the living sacred organisms we are, as we long to be known among humans, so too does every vibration that makes up creation long to be known by other vibrations. Einstein teaches us that everything is vibration. that everything is relationship. i allow these truths to conduct my experiences. i love seeing these findings through every lens, but especially, in this moment, these 4 particular focus lenses - math, science, spirituality, and music. infinite Glory is ever-revealing Themself to those who look, to those who search, those who dig~ ask, seek, knock.
to express my heart with one specific aspect, i'll share that i have been experimenting with the significance of my sensitivity to vibrations. i believe music has healing properties beyond what we have considered or explored academically, scientifically, spiritually, or medically. i theorize that collecting the data of certain vibrations can be used to inform treatment plans & strategies toward healing from illnesses, diseases, imbalances, & sicknesses of the body, mind, & spirit both for the individual and for the collective. i have seen incredible results & find great value in attuning to & identifying frequencies of the world around us by listening, matching, applying harmonic theory, and following my intuition case by case as more reveals note by note in what has been a riveting exploration of observing Mystery unfold. "Matricity" is the home through which i intend to continue conducting curiosity in this passion, and where i will nurture my gifts & practice as a "Matrician" by creative experimentation. while this is a field i have decades of discoveries and research experiences with on my own, i am extremely interested in collaborating with other people. developing these ideas around music as medicine for the body is exciting! i believe it is time to share some of my work with others and spread the message and methods of experimentation that yield results that have informed and enhanced my trust in Music & Vibration as one of the greatest academic guides we have~ leading us directly into new understandings in math & science as well as deeper spiritual & interpersonal dynamics & connections.
